The following is George Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue, melodica (pianica) version. The video is extracted from Nodame Cantabile live action drama. Enjoy! P.S. I would be grateful if somebody can lend me his/her copy of Nodame Orchestra LIVE! CD.
I first heard this song on a CD in bought in Malaysia last year. It went into my successive MP3 players for months before disappearing back into the massive library I have. This song (Gabriel’s Oboe) popped out again when I began watching Beethoven Virus. It was used as a (successful) piece in the first [...]
This movie (Buta ga ita kyôshitsu) is Japanese children’s take on capital punishment, although it is on a pig they raise. An extract from IMDB: The most special scenes are the 5-minute and 15-minute real-time, documentary-like and thought-provoking classroom debates in which students spontaneously discuss if they should eat the pig. While shooting the two [...]
Men, Women Divided Over Sex Bill By Nikia Deveaux Tongues are wagging over a proposed amendment to the controversial Sexual Offences Act, which has men and women all over The Bahamas sounding off. The bill, which is designed to outlaw marital rape, was tabled in the House of Assembly last month. However, many Bahamian men, [...]
Both videos are different music videos of the same song. I prefer the first one as it tells a sad story of the girl not wanting her guy to know about her illness and get hurt due to it. His friends played along but ended up telling him. However he did not manage to say his last goodbye.
Yay!!!! I passed the 3 papers! So much for worrying. So now what? I have to come to terms that the next set of exams will cost me 10% more than I expected. They raised the price. And oh, one of the next few papers does actually fall on my ORD date.
I did the 21km run in 3 hours 17 minutes and 29 seconds. It doesn’t sound fantastic. But I completed it. I hit the wall at the 14th kilometer. After trying several times to run again, my legs threatened to cramp. No amount of Salonpas, isotonic drinks or even bananas helped. Oh well, I just [...]
My ACCA results are coming out on the 17th. I didn’t actually bother if my results will be bad. I was dealt with academic failures before. I failed my promos once, got retained for it. I am really apathetic to this now. My lecturer today asked the class how many are not waiting for results [...]
Honestly, I seldom watch romance drama. I prefer martial arts drama where swords flash and clash each other with exaggerated moves. An all too familiar Cinderella story adaptation, Boys Over Flowers is one of the few shows with an exception that I can accept. There is no fancy swords play or elaborate fist fights. But I just cannot pass up the comedic nature; the goofy antics that the characters pulled; and lastly, the hot actresses in the show.
I was kind of bored one day and a better part of my curiosity lead me IDA website to find out about the number assignment for handphone. I was also tired of asking friends which telco’s service they are using so I can use the Internet SMS services. Singtel and Starhub provide free Interenet SMS [...]
